Explore Industrial AI

One bridge.
Two directions.

Industrial needs inform AI development. Emerging AI capabilities meet real operational challenges.

Industry to AINeeds, problems, workflows, constraints & feedback

An exchange in both directions, grounded in industrial experience.

A machine works
as one system.

A mechanical decision can change sensing, electrical design, PLC logic and robot motion. Those changes affect safety, cycle time and maintainability, with consequences for sourcing, cost, schedule and production.

Each decision changes the conditions for the others, through commissioning and into production.

Specialist depth. Whole-system judgment. We help AI builders understand the complete machine and project, and industrial companies evaluate technology across disciplines and operational constraints.

From RFQ to commissioning.
And beyond.

Industrial automation and special-purpose machinery: custom-built machines, robotic cells and assembly lines.

A complete lifecycle view, from the first request for quotation (RFQ) to engineering, purchasing, integration and production support.

01Define the machine
  • RFQ analysis, costing & quotation
  • Feasibility & concept development
  • Project management & customer standards
  • Procurement, sourcing & suppliers
02Design & integrate
  • Mechanical engineering & pneumatics
  • Electrical engineering / EPLAN
  • Sensors, actuators & motion

For AI builders

Build AI that understands the real industrial world.

For AI labs, startups, agent teams and industrial software developers. Examples of engagement at any product stage, scoped around your question.

Industrial advisory & expert feedback

Understand the world
your AI must work in.

Bring industrial judgment into product decisions before assumptions become features.

  • Understand users, workflows and requirements
  • Challenge concepts and engineering decisions
  • Identify assumptions worth testing
AI evaluation & human oversight

Test the judgment
behind the output.

Assess technical correctness, practicality and safety implications in the intended industrial context.

  • Evaluate models and engineering agent actions
  • Find flawed results through technical red teaming
  • Validate or correct work with human-in-the-loop review
Expert training & evaluation data

Make industrial
knowledge usable.

Turn field experience into training and evaluation material when your project needs it.

  • Create or review industrial tasks and scenarios
  • Explain reference answers, reasoning and trade-offs
  • Correct datasets and define evaluation criteria
Real-world validation

See how your product
fits industrial work.

Test technology against realistic workflows and, where appropriate, with industrial users.

  • Review workflow fit and adoption barriers
  • Explore design partners, beta users or field trials
  • Agree access, responsibilities and success criteria

Trials depend on partner agreement, technology readiness and site requirements.

Start with your industrial question. We assemble the expertise around it, from one specialist to a multidisciplinary team, with scope and deliverables agreed together.

Discuss your AI project. Your need may go beyond these examples.

  1. Discover

Explore emerging technologies in engineering, automation and manufacturing, guided by your operational problems.

  2. Evaluate

Industrial specialists examine capabilities, evidence and requirements against your workflows and constraints.

  3. Connect

Meet relevant technology teams. We can help scope tests, gather feedback and identify practical adoption steps.

Discuss your industrial challenges

Any commercial relationship relevant to a proposed introduction will be disclosed.

We stay close
to both sides.

Staying connected to AI builders and industrial companies helps us understand what technology can do and what industry needs.

Our network includes specialists still active in industry, some already working together on real projects. We bring the relevant people together for each assignment.

Their experience keeps the work grounded in real workflows, constraints and adoption barriers.

A note from the founder

I began with PLC programming and field commissioning, moved into project management, then became Managing Director, building and growing industrial engineering and machinery companies.

Over 20 years in industrial automation and special-purpose machinery, I worked across automotive, aerospace, logistics, food manufacturing and consumer appliances. Each project connected technical decisions with purchasing, schedules, quality and production.

Exploring AI, I realized my strongest contribution was not another model or software product. It was that industrial experience and the professional network built along the way.

I created FACTREN to connect these two worlds, bringing in active industrial specialists for the breadth and depth each project needs.

Helping AI teams understand industry.
Helping industry understand what AI can genuinely do.
